We are covering many miles making our way through Canada to the next major sight Jasper/ Baniff NP in Alberta. We pass through Whitehorse again on the return trip, but this time were in search of the Worlds Largest Weathervane, a DC-3 balanced perfectly on a pedestal. We continue on to Watson Lake, YT after some pictures where we’ll camp for the night.
Don't look to close at my rear tire as pulling the trailer has made it into a Harley rear tire, meaning low mileage. I have only about 11,000 miles on that tire and will probably set a record for the lowest miles on a rear tire for a Goldwing. Was hoping to get home on that tire, but that may take a small miracle like my water pump sealing, which hasn't leaked since leaving Valdez. Maybe I'll be able to stretch it to Wisconsin where a friend could bring me a new tire. Currently have traveled just over 9,000 miles on this Alaskan adventure, will be over 10,000 in two days. Hope to make it out of Canada before tire goes bald. The front tire is doing great.
This is what God was laughing about earlier in this adventure as He knew I had to come back across the longest metal grated bridge to get back to the Cassier Highway that we were going to take to the Prince George, BC. Oh and while we were gone a Caribou was added to the collection.
July 21, 2009 “Sign Post Forest”
After camping overnight in Watson Lake, YT next to the Sign Post Forest, we go over to have a longer visit by walking through the whole forest. One can get lost in this forest, if you ever visit make sure you bring your sign! We will when we come back someday. When we past through this area we were rushing to get to Alaska and ahead of the pack. So we slow down today and enjoy the spirit of the Sign Post Forest.
Gz.
