Griz - 3 vs Cows/ Deer – 0
I'll give the cougar half a point for waking me this morning. Yikes! I do not like having to add points to my side, because something dangerous has to happen and I have to come out on the good side to receive one. I'd prefer no more close calls, unlikely?
Okay so I want to thank those that are praying for me because I would not have that score above without His help. Thank You!
I was wondering when I would start seeing wildlife as I saw plenty of road kill, mostly deer on the road since Michigan. But starting yesterday after pizza and waiting out one storm to pass, a herd of cattle decided to cross the road in front of me causing hard braking action. Then this morning I caught a deer in my peripheral vision crossing the road at about the same speed I was traveling (110kmh/ 67mph). I just missed it as I was twisting the throttle faster. I braced for an impact to my trailer, but it missed that to, Whew!
The cougar this morning growled as it was attacking something big as I heard it take off with heavy foot prints. Did not get to see it, only heard it!
Currently we have 74,686 miles on bike, that's just over 3,000 miles for this trip. We are just north of Fort St, Johns, British Columbia at 2200 PDT on the Alaskan Highway and the sun just set, but it is still daylight. I expect only 4-5 hours of darkness. I am beat tired, would like to see if the Aura Borealis would show. Believe it or not the coldest day was when we were camping in Michigan near Lake Superior.
I believe I saw a wolf today check out the picture…
Oh the wolf is more like a coyote, not starving, as my Canadian friend has told me. I actually was wondering that as it looked like one but the US ones seem smaller and skinner.
Got to send this before I lose battery power, Thanks to those that have responded back, I appreciate it and try to reply or answer your questions in these little summaries.
